Some recent fields of study.
TeleCOM.
We are in the age of unprecedented technological shifts in telecommunications. Unfortunately, the industry also suffers from disproportionate regulatory oversight and policy prescriptions that often lag industry development. In order to help advance our partners’ interests, we have developed studies reviewing the impact of spectrum policy, infrastructure investments, and broadband initiatives, to name a few. With a team of expert legal, regulatory, and economic experts in telecom, we can offer an unparalleled advantage in your company’s understanding of the implications of today’s policy proposals.
Fiscal Policy.
From municipal to federal, our fiscal policy expertise has spanned decades, while our analytical work has covered the hyperlocal considerations of small towns to the macroeconomic effects related to broader national fiscal policy concerns, as well as transnational implications. Having recovered from the Great Recession, and now climbing out of the COVID-19 induced Great Lockdown, state and local, as well as federal, fiscal outlooks have become out of balance and will likely lead to near-term policy shifts impacting all of us. Our team of internationally-recognized fiscal policy experts can provide a better understanding of the implications.
Retail & trade.
Trade policies are ever-evolving, impacting our companies in unforeseen and oftentimes unpredictable ways. In one recent study, our team estimated the overall value of a region’s Food & Beverage industry and considered its influence on the greater local economy, as well as on the U.S. national marketplace. In consideration are recent economic disaster relief policies and how they may benefit, or unduly harm, the F&B industry, along with the implication of associated trade policies. The complicated nature of many moving parts makes for a tricky assessment, but the combination of deep industry experience and unique econometric techniques illuminated surprising insights.
